This enjoyable circular walk links many of the settings for the TV series All Creatures Great and Small, based on the writings of the country vet, James Herriot. Visiting the beautiful green valleys of Wensleydale and Swaledale, you’ll sample some of the best scenery in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. |

| Itinerary |

47 miles. 11-13 miles and up to 2,050ft of ascent in a day. |
Day 1: arrival day.
Day 2: starting from the popular market town of Hawes we’ll head along Wensleydale to Askrigg, which became ‘Darrowby’ in the TV series, before continuing to the superb waterfalls at Aysgarth Falls.
Day 3: pass imposing Bolton Castle before crossing the moors to the pretty Dales village of Reeth.
Day 4: meander along peaceful Swaledale, once a hive of mining industry, following the river to Keld.
Day 5: follow the Pennine Way across Great Shunner Fell to Hardraw Force waterfall and back to Hawes.
Day 6: departure day.
