North America
Always a popular destination for our guests, the USA and Canada offer a diverse range of holidays. From outstanding mountain landscapes to golden Autumn scenery, North America has a something to suit every mood.
Epic Landscapes
When you think of truly epic landscapes the Grand Canyon must come near the top of any list. Up close, the scale of this natural wonder, over a mile deep and several miles wide, is really apparent. However this is just one of the stunning national parks on our 'Grand Canyon and Monument Valley' tour. Other highlights of this journey through Utah, Arizona and Colorado include the green oasis of Zion National Park, the geological masterpiece of Bryce Canyon and Monument Valley, the setting for scores of classic Western films.
New England Colours
For an altogether mellower holiday, New England in the fall is a beautiful and relaxing experience. As the Autumn leaves turn from green to bronze, ochre and yellow the landscape of rolling hills is transformed into a patchwork of colour. Choose from holidays to Vermont or the Adirondacks with the option of a two-centre holiday visiting both centres. For good measure we throw in visits to historic Boston and bustling New York at either end of the tour.
Journey through the Rockies
Travelling through the Rocky Mountains is one of the World's great journeys. Visits to Vancouver and Victoria Island at the start of the tour don't fully prepare you for the stunning mountainscapes that lie ahead on our Western Canadian Adventure. Snow-capped peaks, mighty glaciers and brilliantly clear mountain lakes are all around as you tour through the Jasper, Yoho and Banff National Parks. For those who prefer walking to travelling, our Canadian Rockies holiday is very much planned with the keen walker in mind. This holiday offers a wonderful selection of routes, including those in Kananaskis, one of the Rockies' hidden gems.
Coastal Wildlife Discovery
On Canada's eastern seaboard, the province of New Brunswick is one of the best places for viewing coastal wildlife. The huge tides which race up and down the Bay of Fundy create an ever-changing eco-system which you can discover with highly-knowledgeable guides. A visit to the Fundy Isles is excellent for viewing seals, dolphins, whales and an array of birdlife, whilst on the mainland we'll view eagles and beavers. |
