Over the last few weeks some of our team will be making personal recommendations to help you choose your 2006 holiday. These are all detailed below in case you missed out on one.

"The coastal path around Swanage really does offer some outstanding walks, so I'm delighted that we will be offering this to our guests again. On a personal note I have very fond memories of joining family walking holidays at Swanage and I'm looking forward to heading back there in 2006."

"I love the achievement of a trail holiday, and this year I've been able to make our justifiably popular route, the Coast to Coast trail , more achievable by also offering it in two 9-night sections. Perfect if your holiday time is limited or you'd like to accomplish the full 190 miles in two smaller doses.
In Europe we've introduced the Trail of Aphrodite in Cyprus ; a very varied route that starts high on the slopes of Mount Olympus and descends steadily to the coast"

"Having completed Wainwright's brilliant Coast to Coast walk this year, I wanted a new challenge, something where I could enjoy that same sense of camaraderie along the trail and get that incredible sense of achievement. I was really excited then to discover the pilgrim's route of the Camino de Santiago. It's not just the other walkers along the way that make this trail so rewarding, it's the wonderfully friendly Spanish people. My Spanish certainly improved as I walked and to reach Santiago de Compostela itself felt like an achievement indeed!
You can also phone and ask about our great new Cleveland Way walk, along with a new range of short break options and two fantastic Self-Guided City Breaks."

Our Inspirations brochure is overflowing with special interest holidays (207 of them to be exact!). With so much to choose from, it is hard to pick out the highlights; but here are ten of my favourites to get you started:
- Love live music? Then join us for world-class entertainment at the Brecon Jazz Festival , where our Country House accommodation is right at the heart of the action.
- Join the digital revolution on a digital photography holiday , with opportunities to try the latest models and pick up tips from the professionals.
- Get into the festive spirit by singing Songs for Christmas amidst the Victorian splendour of Newfield Hall at Malhamdale.
- Try an Explorer Tour to some of Europe's most famous sights?
- For that special house-party atmosphere it's hard to beat a Murder Mystery weekend. Fun and laughs are guaranteed as you work together to hunt the murderer ..there may be more to your fellow guests than meets the eye!
- Amaze your friends by learning some sleight of hand on our Magic for beginners holiday . Soon your handkerchiefs will be vanishing into thin air and rabbits will be hopping out of your hat.
- Unwind from the pressures of the modern world on a Mind and Body break. A few days of Yoga , Pilate's or T'ai Chi will leave you relaxed and ready for everything that life has to throw at you.
- Work with the experts to develop your favourite pastime. Our Leaders are selected for their expertise, beyond all else, so whether you want to master your painting , or play that winning bridge hand , you'll be learning from the very best.
- Try something completely new . With holidays aimed at complete beginners, you could learn the basics of golf , dancing or playing the guitar (and many more) in the friendly company of other learners. Who knows, it could open the door to a whole new world!
Alternatively you could stop those holiday compromises between couples and join two different holidays! With a walking holiday usually running at the same time you can get away together and both enjoy your favourite activities.

"With bookings for our worldwide holidays at record levels I was keen to expand our range of holidays still further. I'm particularly excited about our holiday to Sikkim and Darjeeling, India as this has always been a real favourite of mine - it's a great opportunity to explore this dramatic area of the Himalayan foothills.
I was also really pleased to introduce our new Kenyan Safari holiday, which went on sale in the summer and is already proving to be a hit. It's a must for anyone who wants to see the big five as it combines short walks with loads of opportunities to view the outstanding wildlife.
Even further afield our Australian Journey promises to be a holiday to remember. Discover the world famous highlights of Australia's premier state with breathtaking walks amidst the drama of the Tasmanian wilderness."

"Exploring new locations on foot is a fantastic way to get to know an area and I'm fortunate enough to get the chance to visit lots of new places. We've added two new, but very different coastal locations next year - Baska Voda on the pretty Dalmatian Coast of Croatia and closer to home on the island of Guernsey.
I'm also really pleased to be able to introduce the Austrian Lake Wolfgang region to our guided walking programme, following the success of our Self-Guided Walking holidays there over the past few years. "
