Day 1:
Arrive in the sub-tropical city of Brisbane (1 night). |

Days 2-3: Travel north to Noosa (2 nights) for walks in the Glass House Mountains and along this world famous coastline to Fraser Island. |
Days 4-5: We travel north through the Coral Coast to the town of 1770, where Cpt Cook first landed on Queensland, and to Agnes Water our base for exploring the Great Barrier Reef (2 nights). We take a catamaran to the secluded coral cays of Lady Musgrave Island, a true Pacific Ocean paradise with superb sea and bird life.
Days 6-8: Continue into the outback to the Carnarvon Gorge National Park (3 nights) where we’ll see extensive ancient Aboriginal rock art and chattering parrots on walks through the gorge and side canyons.
Day 9: Journey through the pioneering country of the outback to St George (1 night).
Days 10-12: Enjoy walks in the Girraween National Park (3 nights) where we will be greeted by mobs of kangaroos and wallabies and follow trails through the superb granite hills and surrounding bushland.
Days 13-14: Visit historic Armidale (2 nights), New England’s picturesque centre. We’ll walk to the dramatic Dangars Falls in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park and the Wollomombi Falls, one of the highest in Australia.
Day 15: Head for the coast and Australia’s most easterly point at Byron Bay (1 night)
Day 16: Transfer to Brisbane for our return flights and onward connections.
