Days 1-3: Fly to Reykjavik.
|

Travel to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula (3 nights) for coastal and clifftop walks in the national park and a boat trip to Flatey Island. |
Day 4: Choose either a walk on the Snæfellsjökull glacier, a coastal walk, or whale watching (payable locally). Continue to Reykholt (1 night) and relax in the hotel’s hot spring baths.
Day 5: Explore the region’s natural wonders, including Hraunfossar waterfall, Pingvellir, the beautiful setting of the world’s first democratic parliament, Geysir, where the tall plume of Strokkur geyser erupts every 5 to 7 minutes, and the majestic double cascade of Gullfoss. Continue south to Hella (3 nights).
Days 6-7: Visit Porsmork, Stakkholtsgja gorge, and Landmannalaugar an active volcanic zone with spectacular scenery.
Days 8-9: Travel to the spectacular Skogarfoss waterfall, the lava fields of Eldrhraun and the rugged Fjardrargljufur Gorge. Continue to Skaftafell (2 nights), Europe’s largest national park, with its ice fields, moorlands and mighty rivers.
Day 10: Travel up the coast to Reykjavik (2 nights) stopping to see the impressive Solheimajokull ice wall and Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
Days 11-12: Explore Reykjavik and the Blue Lagoon before your flight home.
