Day 1: Arrive Barbados
Arrival in Bridgetown, transfer to the Peach and
Quiet hotel
(10 night) and dinner on the terrace.

Day 2: An early morning walk follows the coastline
from Salt Cave Cove visiting Chancery Lane
archaeological ruins and swamp lands, an
important site for migratory birds.
Day 3: Walk and swim on the beach at Holetown,
where the English first came ashore, and then
continue to Little Bristol, so named because of the
links with its early trading partner.
Day 4: Explore the beautiful woodland of Farley Hill
National Park and St Nicholas Abbey. Later we
descend Cherry Tree Hill, with its spectacular
views, to the Morgan Lewis sugar windmill, the last
operational example on the island.
Day 5: Discover the history of slavery on Barbados’
Drax Hall sugar cane plantation and then enjoy a
beautiful coastal walk.
Day 6: Visit the vibrant capital city of Bridgetown
with options to swim or snorkel at the beach or visit
the historic Garrison site.
Day 7: Free day - possible activities include
walking, yoga, a submarine trip, shopping or simply
relaxing at the hotel.
Day 8: After visiting the spectacular Andromeda
Gardens with its amazing collection of plants, we
follow the old railway line from Bathsheba to
Martin’s Bay and on to the shimmering beach of
Bath.
Day 9: Wander through Turner's Hall rainforest, the
original woodlands that greeted the first British
settlers, before walking to Mount Hillaby, the
highest point on the island, for superb panoramic
views.
Day 10: Walk in Flower Forest following trails to
Welchman Hall Gully and through the huge Harrison
Cave.
Day 11: Time for a visit to the Bridgetown Museum
and lunch in a waterfront café before our afternoon
flight home.

The Peach and Quiet Hotel, located near the southernmost tip of the island, is our base for 10 nights. This is a relaxed and comfortable hotel with excellent cuisine and good facilities including a swimming pool and unique sea pool (snorkels available to borrow). Evenings offer opportunities to listen to and talk with local experts, dance to a steel orchestra or try some stargazing.
