Classic Walking for Families - Europe

Whether you’re taking your family abroad for the first time, or are already seasoned travellers, these family holidays are a great way to discover Europe’s stunning scenery. Children will love the opportunity to sample a different way of life, or try out a few words of a new language, with the guidance of friendly HF Holidays’ leaders. We’ve chosen our best family-orientated hotels, and resorts, with facilities such as swimming pools on hand. A choice of at least two walks each day (often three) provides something for everyone to enjoy.

Adelboden, Switzerland: a picture-perfect Swiss village with walks for all ages in the beautiful high meadows. Friendly staff and good food make the Hotel Waldhaus-Huldi particularly family-friendly.

Mayrhofen, Austria: with an outdoor pool and skittles alley close by, the Hotel Waldheim is a popular venue for children of all ages. The great range of cable-cars means that everyone can enjoy the high mountains and beautiful meadows without too much effort, whilst the mountain walks are great for active teenagers.
