While adrenalin junkies will find plenty of adventure, we’ll teach anyone in reasonable shape to enjoy this amazing sport with confidence-boosting step by step lessons. Our resorts are part of huge, interlinked areas which means that even relative beginners can tour the region travelling miles over the day from one valley to another.

You’ll want to linger at the lunchstops, too. Either al fresco, soaking up the intense sun as you sip a beer or gluhwein and listen to the sounds of others at play, or indoors by a log fire in the hubbub of a mountain restaurant.

And if you’ve been before with the family, you’ll need no convincing that some of the best holidays ever are ones spent in the snow. Travel with us

For your comfort and peace of mind we work with many of the leading airlines using mostly scheduled flights. Wherever possible we offer direct flights from London or Manchester and can often arrange connecting flights from UK regional airports.

Alternatively all our holidays are available without flights allowing you maximum flexibility to drive to the resort or make your own flight arrangements, perhaps from overseas or with one of the many 'low cost' airlines.

Essential Holiday information

• An HF Holidays’ Ski leader will accompany each holiday to co-ordinate all local arrangements including equipment hire, ski school lessons and lift pass. Your leader will also advise you on suitable skiing areas and will offer plenty of assistance and encouragement, particularly to beginners.
• To allow everyone to create their perfect skiing or snowboarding holiday, you can choose how many Ski School lessons you require and pay for this separately on arrival.
• For maximum flexibility, we have not included ski and boot hire as many of our guests prefer to ski with their own equipment. The lift pass is also not included, allowing you to choose how many days skiing you would like to enjoy.
• If you feel like a break from the slopes, your HF Holidays' leader will advise you of local places of interest or alternative activities you might enjoy in the resort.

Your ski and showboarding school

Two excellent local ski and snowboarding schools have been chosen. They both offer many different levels of tuition so that guests of differing ability can share the same skiing holiday. In Mayrhofen you will be taught by the renowned Ski School Mount Everest and in Adelboden you will be in the highly qualified hands of the Swiss Snowsports School. All lessons will be conducted in English.

For ultimate flexibility your leader will book you in on arrival day for as many or as few lessons as you require during the week. Next morning, after picking up your ski equipment, you will join your Ski School instructor. Each ski school wants to ensure you enjoy yourself as much as possible and will make sure you are in a group of equal ability.

If you are a complete beginner we would recommend that you take daily lessons. If you are an intermediate you may wish to take fewer lessons and our leader can help you explore a wide variety of pistes in the area.
