Detailed itinerary

This five-night tour takes you along paved cycle paths to each of your overnight stays. The short distances each day ensure you have plenty of time for sightseeing.

Day 1: Arrival in Delft
Stay at the friendly, family-run Hotel de Vlaming, located in the heart of the city. (Guests travelling by ferry start and end tour in Naaldwijk.)

Day 2: Delft to Naaldwijk
10 miles
Before you start your cycle tour, stroll around the lovely city of Delft and take time to admire the 17th century architecture of its beautiful buildings. You can also enjoy a canal cruise here. It’s a nice easy cycle ride from here to the Hotel Carlton at Naaldwijk.

Day 3: Naaldwijk to Kijkduin
14 miles
After breakfast make sure you take time to visit the famous flower auction close to the hotel. You then set off cycling along the coast above the Hook of Holland. The route takes you through duneland along the North Sea until you come to the seaside resort of Kijkduin for your overnight stop at the excellent Hotel Atlantic.

Day 4: Kijkduin
A free day to spend time on the beach or cycle along the coast to the fishing village of Scheveningen. You could also visit The Hague, the Dutch seat of government and home to the Royal Family. There are also many other attractions such as museums, art galleries, “Madurodam” - the exhibition of Holland in miniature, and antique markets on Sundays and Thursdays. You spend a second night at the Hotel Atlantic.

Day 5: Kijkduin to Delft
14 miles
Today you cycle through a nature reserve and along countryside canals. You have time to take a break for a drink or hire a boat en route to the historic town of Delft. You stay overnight at the Hotel de Vlaming. Return your bicycles to the hire shop.

Day 6: End of tour after breakfast
Time for some last minute shopping in Delft before you return home.
