Thorns Hall, Sedbergh, Northern Yorkshire Dales

Thorns Hall is a small manor house dating from 1535, its public rooms
retain their period charm, with wooden paneling. It is located on the outskirts
of the small market town of Sedbergh. This quiet town lies on the north-west
corner of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and at the foot of the Howgill Fells.
All accommodation is in tastefully furnished rooms either within the hall or in
converted outbuildings across the cobbled courtyard.

a high level of service. A warm welcome from caring staff awaits you. Our Country House accommodation caters exclusively for our guests and the atmosphere is very much
like a house party - it's all a far cry from the anonymity of a conventional hotel.
Public Rooms - Lounge and bar lounge.
Facilities - Boot room, drying room, laundry facilities, mini-shop,
croquet, short tennis, putting, volleyball and badminton.
No Smoking - Thorns Hall is designated as non-smoking. Smoking is also
not allowed on transport provided during any holiday.

rooms are available. All have en-suite facilities (bath or
shower and WC). You'll find complimentary tea and coffee making

Fresh ingredients, carefully chosen provide an excellent local and international
cuisine. A vegetarian option is available at all times.
Dining arrangements are for tables of 6 or 8 in an informal atmosphere.
Breakfast: Choice of continental or full English breakfast.
Lunch: Our famous self-select picnic lunch.
Dinner: A table d'hote evening meal followed by coffee and mints.

BY ROAD: 5 miles east of M6, Junction 37. Free car parking is available
in the grounds.
BY NATIONAL EXPRESS COACH: Travel to Kendal bus station. For further information
on routes, times and prices visit
www.nationalexpress.com, quoting ref HFHOLTEN to receive a discount. You will need a taxi for the 12 mile journey from Kendal to our hotel, which costs
approximately £19.
BY RAIL: To Oxenholme station. Visit thetrainline.com for train
information and to book tickets..

Taxi: allow £19 per journey (less if shared).
