For a perfect guided walking holiday

Our guided walking holidays fall into six categories but they do all have one thing in common. They are all led by our very own experienced walking leaders, who really can bring the countryside to life for you and your fellow walkers. They are always available to help you and are committed to socialising with guests each evening.

Hotel Based Britain where you stay in a single Country House accommodation (generally owned by us) as your base for the week, selecting from a choice of two or three escorted walks each day from our popular Classic Walking programme. Holidays are from 2 to 14 nights.
Ideal if you come as a couple - one can take the long route the other the short route.

NEW for 2008 - There will be sole 7-night walking weeks throughout the summer, at many locations in the UK. Here your holiday will not be interrupted by guests arriving or leaving during the week and you will all be enjoying the same holiday programme. Click here for details.

Hotel Based Europe where you stay in a quality, selected hotel, as your base for a week or two. Each day there'll be a choice of two escorted walks - an easier and harder option. We always use English-speaking Leaders, generally flown in for your holiday, but sometimes they may have moved to the area from Britain and have an intimate knowledge of the area.

Guided Trails - There are two different types of Guided Trail to choose between

• Long Distance Trails staying in one of our Country House accommodation for the entire walking holiday. Each day you and your party will be taken to the days starting point and accompanied by our experienced Leaders for the week. In the evening you can join fellow walkers at the hotel.
• Hotel to Hotel Trails involve staying in a number of different carefully selected hotels, guest houses or inns along the route. We look after the bags while you and the group, with a Leader, do the walking.

Worldwide Walking Tours offer a unique blend of guided walking days and sightseeing options along the way. Stay in a number of places throughout the tour. Each tour is accompanied by one of our own Leaders, or tour director, who stay with you throughout the tour.

Speciality Walks these are all accompanied by an experienced and extremely knowledgeable Leader who have a passion for the subject or area and very keen to share it with you.
