On these holidays there is a choice of two guided walks for varying abilities each day.
ITINERARY
Day 1: arrival day |
|
Day 2: walk through the attractive Sirikari Gorge, lined with chestnut groves, plane trees and wild olives, to the village of Polyrinia, an important site in Cretan history.
Day 3: head inland to the foothills of the beautiful White Mountains and sample a traditional Cretian lunchtime meal in a sleepy hillside village.
Day 4: an opportunity to walk the famous Samaria Gorge, passing breathtaking scenery as we descend to the coastal village of Agia Roumeli. Either choose the classic 11 mile descent or a shorter walk in the lower gorge.
Day 5: free day - time to relax around the pool or on the nearby beach. Alternatively take the local bus into Chania to explore this charming Venetian city built around its picturesque harbour.
Day 6: visit the quiet inland mountains and the dramatic Keramariano Gorge before enjoying refreshments at the restored ancient village of Milia.
Day 7: explore the beautiful Gramvousa Peninsula descend gradually to the ruined Minoan city of Falasarna and one of the island’s best sandy beaches.

Further information will be sent to you prior to your holiday; however the final selection of walks will be made by your walking leaders.
