Caribbean & Central America
If you after a laid-back walking holiday, the sun-filled islands of the Caribbean are the perfect venue. Gentle walks, a friendly welcome and an ever-pleasant climate make these some of our most relaxing holidays.
Island Paradise
Barbados epitomises the leisurely nature of our Caribbean walking holidays. With walks of 1 to 5 miles, this is a holiday to be taken slowly with plenty of time to swim, enjoy the white sandy beaches and admire the abundant bird and plant life. During your 10-night stay at the Peach and Quiet hotel you'll explore the whole island, discovering its rich natural beauty and the fascinating history of its early settlers.
Beaches and mountains
Whilst the colonial history of Barbados has given it a distinctly British air, St Lucia has strong French roots giving it a different atmosphere. The island is one of the most beautiful in the West Indies with lush forests, idyllic natural harbours and white sand beaches. The dramatic mountainous interior is particularly lush and you'll walk amidst pineapple groves, nutmeg, cocoa and mango trees.
Flora and Fauna of Costa Rica
For all wildlife lovers, the tropical forests of Costa Rica are a fantastic experience. In the company of experienced and highly-rated local guides, you'll encounter exotic creatures such as howler monkeys, caymans, sloths and turtles, together with flamboyant flora and colourful birdlife. Add in beautiful white beaches and the dramatic volcanoes of the country's interior and you have an enchanting and memorable holiday.
Viva Cuba NEW
A journey through Cuba, with its blend of colours, flavours, aromas and sounds, enlivens the senses. See the faded colonial grandeur of Havana and Trinidad, the untouched coastline and countryside of coffee plantations and tobacco fields. Cuba is changing fast so it is a great time to visit while its exotic and distinctive style remains. |
